Rusty Bucket makes its own infusions in-house and has its own bourbon blend, called Gary’s Blend, through a partnership with the Woodford Reserve. It also has a house beer, Rusty Bucket Pilsner, which is brewed in partnership with Columbus-based Four String Brewing Company.
Other Multi-Unit Chain Restaurant Award Winners that have a presence in southwest Ohio included Buffalo Wild Wings, which won the Best Adult Alcohol Free Program category.

Entries are judged on positive beverage sales initiatives, efficient operational innovations, and training and service programs, according to the awards' organizers. Rusty Bucket received the awards at the VIBE Conference, an annual event for chain and hotel adult beverage executives and suppliers, in San Diego last week.

“Our entire team and I are incredibly honored to receive these prestigious industry awards,” Gary Callicoat, president of Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern, said in a release. “We strive to be the neighborhood destination where our bartenders know a guests’ order as soon as they take a seat. We have worked diligently to build a strong beverage program featuring only the finest and freshest ingredients while offering guests the perfect pour and great crafts every time they visit.”
Rusty Bucket, a sister company of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, was founded in 2002 and currently operates 23 locations in Ohio, Michigan, Florida, Indiana, North Carolina and Colorado. The company has plans to expand, with a goal of reaching 40 locations in the next five years.
