“We can’t keep up,” Moore said. “People are buying our beer so fast that we can’t make it fast enough. We usually have three or four of our 10 taps empty on any given day.”
The guest taps also will allow Crooked Handle to thank some of the other local breweries that offered advice and help along the way, Moore said.
Crooked Handle is the 12th brewery to open in the region in the last four years. None has closed, and nearly all have expanded or are in the process of expanding.
And as of next week, Crooked Handle also will be expanding its brewing capacity by adding equipment to allow the brewery to sell kegs to more bars and restaurants in the area, Moore said. Crooked Handle already has sold kegged beers to Dorothy Lane Market stores and Sycamore Country Club, among others.
The wine license, obtained from the Ohio division of Liquor Control today, also will allow Crooked Handle to sell gluten-free ciders, Moore said.
