Authorities said a Springfield police officer spotted the suspect’s pickup truck and tried to pull it over, but the driver would not stop, and a chase began.
Police said the pickup truck crashed on Lost Road. At this time, it is unclear who fired the gunshots or the name of the man who was killed. Investigators said a gun was found on the road.
Springfield police said they expect to release more information about this case on Wednesday afternoon.
