A search warrant was executed Wednesday by the Ohio Department of Agriculture at a home on Basil-Western Road in connection with the serval cat that was killed this past weekend, according to our partners at WBNS.

The home, located in Fairfield County, belongs to the father of current Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliot.

The home is about a mile away from where a Fairfield County sheriff’s deputy shot and killed a serval on Sunday. A serval is a wild cat that is native to Africa.

A Department of Agriculture spokesperson said they received enough evidence to obtain a search warrant at Elliott’s home and that it’s in relation to the serval cat investigation, WBNS said.
