Sunny, breezy today; Dry conditions expected through end of week

Today we will see some sun with mostly clear skies as temperatures rise to around 44 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. We will also have some stronger winds, with some gusts rising to around 26 mph.

Overnight, we will see clouds increasing again as temperatures fall to around 25 degrees. Winds will weaken somewhat but stay breezy all the way through Friday night.

During the day Friday, skies will be mostly cloudy to begin with, though clouds will decrease in the afternoon. Temperatures will only rise a little to a high of around 32 degrees.

Friday night will then be partly cloudy, with clouds continuing to decrease throughout the night. Winds will become much calmer, especially after midnight. Meanwhile temperatures will dip down to around 18 degrees.

By dawn on Saturday skies will be mostly sunny, though highs will only rise to around 31 degrees.

Saturday night, the NWS predicts that clouds will start to build up again, leading up to a slight chance of snow beginning in the early hours of Sunday morning – a chance which the NWS predicts will continue to grow throughout the day.

Overnight on Saturday temperatures will fall only a bit to around 25 degrees.
