UPDATE @2:51 p.m.:

Jurors today heard a teenage boy say he had sex with a Miamisburg Middle School teacher in her classroom behind a closed and locked door.

Lawyers for Jessica Langford, 32, of Centerville, say the teen lied and the jury should find her not guilty of sexual battery.

Prosecutors told jurors that Langford brought the student into her classroom, turned the lights off, locked the door, then told student to hide when there was a knock at the door.

UPDATE @2:25 p.m.:

Jessica Langford’s attorney told jurors that “reasonable doubt exists” and that his client should be found not guilty of charges related to accusations that she had sex with a student last year in her middle school classroom.

Attorney Lawrence Greger argued the case comes down to a credibility test on the victim, and he claimed they can’t believe the teen student because he told multiple stories.

The student should not be believed because he lied about too many things, Greger said.

He also confronted the school security video prosecutors emphasized in the trial, noting that Langford didn’t have a hair out of place when she left her classroom after an alleged 30 minutes of sexual activity.

UPDATE @2:11 p.m.

Prosecutors used closing arguments to tell jurors that former teacher Jessica Langford is the only one on trial, accused of six counts relating to alleged sexual contact with an eighth-grade Miamisburg Middle School student last year.

Prosecutors also said Langford “can’t hide from the video” that shows her alone in the classroom with the student, who today testified that he had sex with the teacher in her classroom with her door locked before school started.

EARLIER:

The alleged victim is expected to testify this morning in the trial of a former Miamisburg teacher accused of having sex with a student.

Prosecutors say the student – 14 at the time the charges were leveled - will take the stand today and tell how he was involved with Jessica Langford on May 23, 2017, his last day as an eighth-grader at Miamisburg Middle School.

The father of the teen testified Wednesday, telling the jury of eight men and four women that on the morning the student and teacher are alleged to have sex, he told his son in a text to stay away from the teacher.

But later, the man said, his son told him the teen had sex with the teacher.

Langford, 32, of Centerville, was indicted in November on three counts of sexual battery and three counts of unlawful sexual contact with a minor. She pleaded not guilty to all charges and has been free on her own recognizance.

Langford’s attorney said the student involved — now 15 — has repeatedly denied having sex with Langford.

Prosecutors contend Langford had sex with the teen before school on May 23, when they say the two were alone in Langford’s locked Miamisburg Middle School classroom.
