ALTER HIGH SCHOOL: PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
Alter High School is building a $4.3 million expansion as a new arts wing that’s 10 years in the making.
The project, which includes an extension to the west side of the school at 940. E. David Rd., will include a 236-seat theater with a balcony, multi-purpose suites, a large art gallery on both floors and a box office for ticket sales.

FAIRMONT HIGH SCHOOL: NEW AUDITORIUM
The rebuilding of Fairmont High School’s auditorium began this summer.
Renderings of the project show the school’s new auditorium being expanded to accommodate more seating space and a larger stage. The expanded building will extend closer to Shroyer Road and will include a higher ceiling for “fly space” which community relations manager Kari Basson said was a “huge deal” for the theater program.
