Things Remembered has agreed to sell most of its business to a giftware, home decor and accessory company, which could save some stores.

New owner Enesco plans to continue operating online, direct mail, “a portfolio” of physical stores and business to business retail, Things Remembered said in a statement today.

The company is not able to provide any details regarding which stores will remain open or close at this time, a spokeswoman told the Dayton Daily News.

The personalized gift shop filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy to facilitate the sale.

"The sale to Enesco offers a compelling path forward for Things Remembered, its customers, employees, creditors, vendors, and other stakeholders," said Nelson Tejada, president and CEO of Things Remembered. "Among other growth initiatives, we plan to reinvest in our marketing and personalization technology, and to reinvent our in‑store experience."
