El Toro Mexican restaurant to add location in Dayton Ohio area

Dayton-based El Toro Bar & Grill finalized a 10-year lease on Wednesday and will open a restaurant at the former Max & Erma's restaurant at 710 Gardner Road off Springboro Pike (Ohio 741), El Toro District Manager Enrique Alvarez confirmed this morning.

The new restaurant is projected to open in early 2017 and will employ 30 to 35, Alvarez told this news outlet today.

This will be the 12th El Toro in the Dayton-Springfield region.

“Springboro is a great area,” Alvarez said. “We are a family-owned local chain trying to cover the Dayton market so we can be the number one choice for local residents when they choose a Mexican restaurant.”

Max & Erma’s opened in the space in October 2006, underwent a significant makeover in 2013, and shut down permanently in January 2016.
