Troopers are still trying to identify the suspect who stole the car, as well as narrow down where the power tools in the Jeep Wrangler were stolen from, Nichols said.
The owner of the original crashed Jeep Wrangler was admitted to Kettering Medical Center, not Miami Valley Hospital as troopers originally indicated. Troopers are still working to determine if the man is a victim or knows the suspect.
EARLIER REPORT (March 6):
A crash on Interstate 75 turns out to be just the starting point of a larger investigation into now a stolen car and other possibly stolen goods.
Around 3 p.m. Tuesday, a Jeep Wrangler lost control and crashed near the bottom of the entrance ramp onto I-75 North from Ohio 725, said Sgt. Frank Simmons Jr. of OSHP Dayton post.

A female victim at the scene, reportedly a Good Samaritan, told troopers she stopped to help at the crash scene, when a subject from the crashed car pushed her aside and stole her vehicle.
A second occupant of the crashed Jeep Wrangler is being questioned at Miami Valley Hospital.
Simmons said there are suspected stolen power tools from the Jeep Wrangler. That vehicle’s owner has told investigators he was a victim.
"However we have reason to believe that he may not have been a victim; that he may know the assailant," Simmons said.
Law enforcement are seeking the subject from the Jeep Wrangler whom fled the scene.
