Urbana University will undergo a leadership change after George Lucas, who has led the campus for two years, resigned effective immediately, according to information from the university today.

Christopher Washington, senior vice president and provost at Franklin University, will take over as executive vice president and provost at the campus. Washington will be tasked with assessing the Urbana University’s organizational needs and its potential shift to a branch campus.
