Initial reports indicate that a Honda Pilot struck a building in the 600 block of Lyons Road and came to rest on its side. The driver likely suffered a medical emergency while in the parking lot of a Sam’s Club across the street and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle traveled north, crossed Lyons Road and entered the Washington Square parking lot before striking a building, a release from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Witnesses said the vehicle entered the shopping center at a high rate of speed and that the driver had to be pulled from the wreckage.
The vehicle landed on its side and briefly was on fire, witnesses reported.
