The park, popular in the 1940s with Hobart employees, sits along the Great Miami River just north of downtown Troy.
The park is designed to accommodate paddle boats, canoes, kayaks and bicyclists. A picnic shelter emblazoned with the park’s name is complimented by an amphitheater for free summer concerts.
The former Marina Building is now Smith’s Boathouse Restaurant, which offers seafood and steaks with deck seating overlooking the park, river and bicycle trails.
A new lighthouse was gifted to the city from the Troy Foundation to replace the original Hobart version.
