Warm with chance of showers; Temperatures rise through end of week

Skies will be mostly cloudy, with temperatures rising to around 70 degrees during the day, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Clouds will largely clear out overnight as temperatures fall to around 56 degrees.

Tomorrow it will be mostly sunny and hot, with highs near 79 degrees. Thursday night will also be clear, with lows around 60 degrees.

Friday, the NWS forecast we will start out mostly sunny, but clouds will gather during the day for a chance of showers and thunderstorms beginning in the afternoon. Highs will still be quite warm with temperatures around 77 degrees.

Rain and storm chances will continue through the night, though they are expected to fall somewhat in the early hours of Saturday morning. Temperatures will cool to around 48 degrees overnight.
