It instantly went viral - becoming a kind of manifesto for assault survivors all over the world.
In an exclusive interview with 60 Minutes Sunday night, Chanel Miller reclaimed her identity as the author of that statement and shares her story for the first time.
As you can see in the video above, she chooses her words carefully when she speaks, just as she did when she put them to paper for her new book, aptly titled, "Know My Name."
