Multiple changes are happening along Wilmington Pike in Kettering, Centerville and Washington Twp., including a new library, restaurant, hotel center and more.

Here’s a look at what changes are happening and where.

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is under construction in front of Meijer at 4025 Wilmington Pike on the location of a former PNC Bank branch. The 3,200-square-foot restaurant is projected to seat about 65 and could open as early as the end of this year, according to franchisee Pat Gilligan.

Home2 Suites 

Home2 Suites by Hilton, located at the northwest corner of Cornerstone of Centerville, appears to be in the final stages of construction with the exterior almost finished. The three-story hotel is the first for the mixed-use development.

Shell demolition

The former Shell gas station at the corner of Clyo Road and Wilmington Pike has been demolished to make way for new business at the busy intersection.

New library

The new Wilmington-Stroop Branch Library is taking shape at the corner of Stroop and Wilmington in Kettering. The new library will be 51 percent larger than the old branch and is expected to open in spring 2019. New features of the branch will include: Larger dedicated teen space, larger children’s area, an enclosed quiet reading room with a fireplace and an outdoor terrace.
