WATCH: This Dayton Mall building is transforming from auto center to new restaurant

The former Sears Automotive Center is no longer recognizable except for its location at the Dayton Mall.

The building and surrounding landscaping and parking lot have been renovated for a new Outback Steakhouse and another unnamed tenant.

The building now features a very updated look with soft earth-tone colors, trees, landscaping and newly paved parking design.

Miami Township Trustees announced in October of 2017 that plans for use of the build had been approved for property owners Seritage Growth Properties.

The renovation is a beginning phase of the much-anticipated long-range plan adopted for the area by the Miami Twp.-Dayton Mall Joint Economic Development District board.

An opening date for Outback Steakhouse has not been announced.
