Rainy start to the workweek with more showers expected Tuesday

People will need to pull out their rainboots for the start of the workweek as showers hit the region.

Most of the rain is expected in the afternoon, however the forecast calls for showers through the evening, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Showers are expected between 7 and 11 p.m. today with some areas seeing an additional half inch of rainfall, according to the NWS. The skies are expected to be cloudy all day. Temperatures will be slightly lower, with highs only reaching around 58 degrees. The overnight low is expected to fall to around 46 degrees.

Tuesday there is another chance of showers. Any showers are expected before 2 p.m. and after 8 p.m., the NWS reported. Tomorrow’s temperatures will range from 64 degrees to 56 degrees. The skies are expected to be mostly cloudy.

While rain isn’t anticipated Wednesday, the skies are expected to be cloudy all day. It will warm up, with high temperatures forecasted for the mid-70s.
