There are several reports of downed trees and power lines over roads, according to emergency scanner traffic. Damage from downed limbs has been reported around the Miami Valley.
Thousands are without power after severe weather and high winds, Dayton Power and Light reported.
A National Weather Service spotter in Centerville said that several large tree limbs have fallen.
Showers are expected before 9 a.m. and temperatures could rise as high as 54 degrees. However, for most of the day, temperatures will stay around 45 degrees. The day is expected to be windy.
