An Indiana woman discovered a large snake while hiking along the Big-4 Rail Trail in Zionsville, WXIN reported.
Mindy Murdock, a park naturalist with the Zion Nature Center, said the photograph taken by Michele Modglin depicts an eastern rat snake, the television station reported.
Although the snake is large, it is not venomous Murdock told WXIN. However, the reptile will bite if it feels threatened, Murdock said.
