Hamilton was employed by the Clark County Educational Service Center to provide occupational therapy services to Clark-Shawnee students, according to Superintendent Brian Kuhn.
“Over Christmas Break, I was deeply saddened when I was notified that one of our colleagues, Occupational Therapy Assistant Julie Hamilton, died unexpectedly at her home,” Kuhn said. “Julie was a dedicated OTA who worked closely with many of our educators and staff members to meet the needs of her students at Reid, Rockway and Possum Schools.”
Sean Inman, 49, was found dead in the home alongside Hamilton after Clark County sheriff’s deputies responded to the home the morning of Dec. 30 for a welfare check.
Hamilton also was a singer songwriter in the Dayton music scene and played in the band “Mercy Woods,” according to her obituary.
“Julie’s creativity and optimism is going to be missed. She was a goofball in every sense of the word. She was a bright light that shined on everyone,” her obituary stated.
Hamilton’s visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, and the service at noon Tuesday at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park.
Hamilton is survived by her children, Devin Litton, Mercy McConnell and Mara Hamilton; granddaughter, Callie Jo Litton; brothers, John, Anthony and Carlos Miller and Levi Adams; sisters, Teri Pennington and Michelle Simon; and numerous other family members and friends, according to her obituary.
