Woman sent to prison for vehicular assault on ex-boyfriend

A Dayton woman has been sentenced to prison in a vehicular assault on her ex-boyfriend.

Lisa R. Baker, 45, will spend four years in prison in a May 2016 assault on her ex-boyfriend in the 900 block of Neal Avenue.

The victim sustained critical injuries but survived.

The assault happened after an argument. Baker purposefully drove her vehicle toward the victim, striking him. Baker was taken into custody at the scene.

Baker was previously convicted of one count felonious assault.

"This defendant purposely drove over the victim with her car, and then backed up, running him over a second time. Her actions could have killed the victim. As it was, she caused permanent and life‐altering injuries to the victim,” said Prosecutor Mat Heck in a release.
