» RELATED: Wright State faculty union to file 10-day strike notice Monday
The potential strike comes after more than a year and a half of contract talks failed Friday when the WSU board of trustees voted to implement its last, best offer on terms and conditions of employment for members of the Wright State chapter of the American Association of University Professors.
Area leaders, Raiders and members of the Wright State community have reacted to the news online. Here are some of the reactions pulled from Twitter.

Classes will continue regardless of what happens here. You should show up to class at the same location unless you hear otherwise from the university.
Although a 10 day strike notice has been imposed, negotiations could stop it altogether. https://t.co/FXKwGLXfnd
During the difficult time that we will face, it is my hope that all student leaders will work to maintain the morale of the Student Body. We love our school, and we will continue to love our school, regardless of the challenges that we face. 💚💛 https://t.co/3imQ6ywMr3

Without negotiating the admin/Board imposed a contract on us that is worse than the FF report they approved and rejected. Please read email from AAUP-WSU completely and consistently to fully understand the ramifications of this imposition. #united #faculty4students #fight4wright

PAYROLL PROJECT: Here’s how much Wright State employees are paid.
In the face of these trying times at wright state, I’m not going anywhere. I’m not backing down. I’m standing with my university and my fellow students. Hold tight. We’ll make it. We’re raiders. 💚💛

So far, Wright State has responded to students’ concerns about a possible @aaupwsu strike by cracking thoughtless jokes & suggesting that there’s a whole “caste” of people who can teach classes instead of the professors. Our students deserve better than that.
