Wright State president Cheryl Schrader will moderate a panel discussion between WSU vice president for finance and operations and chief business officer Walt Branson, university controller Tina Heigel and board of trustees chairman Doug Fecher.
The public will have the opportunity to ask questions following presentations, according to the school.
In June, Wright State trustees slashed more than $30.8 million from the school’s fiscal year 2018 budget in an attempt to begin correcting years of overspending.

If Wright State is able to stay on budget this year, it might be able to avoid state fiscal watch, administrators have said. An update on potential fiscal watch is expected to be discussed during the forum, according to WSU.
Wright State's board of trustees meets in committee meetings starting at 8 a.m. Friday at 2455 Presidential Dr. Trustees are expected to discuss the first six months of Wright State's finances under the budget cuts, according to documents for the meeting.
