$7M Xenia housing development planned

An up to $7 million housing development is planned for Xenia.

Sterling Green Crossing will be part of the first major new subdivision being built in the city in eight years, according to city staff.

The single-family housing development will be near Shannon Lane and Prem Place, according to city documents.

“It will continue a surge in single-family residential construction that started in 2015 and ended a four-year relative drought in new residential construction,” said Brian Forschner, Xenia’s city planner.

Public improvements for Sterling Green Crossing, such as streets, sewer and water, will cost an estimated $1.4 million, according to city documents.

The houses in the development are expected to range from 1,400 square feet to 2,300 square feet in size.
