Clark is a white male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, with hazel eyes and brown hair weighing 120 pounds, police said.
Yellow Springs officers and Miami Township Fire-Rescue, with Buckeye Search & Rescue dogs, are checking “the area of Glen Helen Nature Preserve as this is a place Mr. Clark was known to frequent,” Yellow Springs police said in a statement.
Anyone with information is asked to call the department at (937) 767-7206.
Clark often leaves town without notifying family, Yellow Springs Police Chief Brian Carlson told WHIO-TV.
“However, the length of his absence without contact caused the family to reach to law enforcement after exhausting their efforts to locate his whereabouts,” he said. “The Yellow Springs police department has been actively looking for Mr. Clark for the period of approximately one week.”
Clark was classified as a missing person Wednesday after he failed to appear at a scheduled court hearing in Missouri.
“We’re working with Buckeye Search & Rescue dogs,” Carlson said in an initial interview Saturday. “We don’t have any indication that the missing person is injured or deceased, but we have reached out to them to assist, due to the weather.
He added, “The young man frequented the Glen, and I had concerns that he might have fallen or something might have happened.”
Glen Helen Nature Preserve is a 1,000-acre park, with a 20-mile network of footpaths and trails.
