BEYER, George Hoyt

Age 95, formerly of Dayton, Ohio, passed away surrounded by family on December 22, 2020. George was born in Downers Grove, Illinois, on December 30, 1924. George was a Dayton resident for 71 years and was a member of The Community of Christ Church. George married N. Juanita Cox in 1946, and they were married for 48 years. He was an accountant and retired from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in December, 1986. He was a member of The Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio for 66 years. During his 34 years of retirement, George enjoyed traveling, including many trips to Chicago to watch his beloved Chicago Cubs, with the highlight being attending the three World Series games at Wrigley Field in 2016 with his family. George was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita; parents, George and Marion (Durland) Beyer; mother-in-law, Leona Cox; sister, Marilyn Brough; son, George H. Beyer Jr.; and grandson, Patrick

Kaufman of Edinburgh, Scotland, Gretchen Gillem, Sarah Gillem (Lamar Bacon), Rebecca Neal (Kevin Kirke) of Centerville, Brooke (Scott) Rogers, Heather (Joshua) Rivera of Greer, South Carolina, and Ryan (Kacey) Launius of League City, Texas; his great-grandchildren, Abbey, Jack and

Katherine Loree, Jeremiah, Emma, and Christian Kaufman, Tashan and Scout Gillem, Xavier, Amaya, Gabriel and Rylee Gillem, Jonathan, Jordan and Jacob Rogers, Leo and Joseph Rivera, and Susanna and Clara Launius. The family wishes to sincerely thank the caregivers at Beehive Homes of Springboro and Day City Hospice for their loving care. Due to COVID-19, a private burial service was held previously for the immediate family at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. A memorial service will be held at an undetermined later date. In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial contributions may be made to Day City Hospice, 8039 Washington Village Dr., Dayton, Ohio 45458.
