Michael Etter, 68, of Middletown passed away Monday, January 13, 2025, at his Lighthouse Point home in Florida. Mike enjoyed horse racing, bowling, fishing, and spending time on his houseboat in Lake Cumberland while hanging with friends and enjoying life. He later semi-retired, buying a home in FL and leaving the business in the hands of his boys. He loved to travel to the islands with family and friends and visit casinos and bars … simply looking for some good times and memories. Mike was known for his generosity in life – always first to pick up the check or offer support to someone in need. He was an avid sports fan as a long-time loyal supporter of the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Reds, Ohio State Buckeyes, and UC Bearcats. Mike was a devoted and loving husband to wife Dianne of 34 years and considered one of his proudest accomplishments – his three sons. Mike was also very proud of his professional success. He started young and worked multiple jobs and eventually built a large construction and development company – Etter General Contracting, LLC – serving large clients such as Wendy's, Dairy Queen, Burger King and Arby's. Mike will be deeply missed by a large circle of loving family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Dianne Etter, his three sons, Jimmie (Lindsey), Mikie (Sadie) and Casey (Renee) and his stepson, Matt Congleton (Laura); his siblings, Pam Hartman (Drew), Kim Flesher (Marty) and Vickie Anenberg. Mike leaves behind 6 loving grandchildren (with a 7th arriving in May), Bailey Etter (Richman), Ashton Etter, Gavin Etter, Layla Etter, Hunter Congleton, Spencer Congleton, and one great granddaughter, Harper Puckett.

Visitation will be 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 South Sutphin Street, Middletown, OH 45044. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 pm. Private burial will be at Woodside Cemetery.
