HOFFMAN, Arthur Wayne

Arthur Wayne Hoffman, of Dayton, Ohio, peacefully passed away on December 3, 2020, at the age of 84 years old. Arthur was born on March 13, 1936, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to parents Arthur and Hazel (Kelch) Hoffman. On May 17, 1958, Arthur married the love of his life, Gaylene (Coleman) Hoffman in Dayton, Ohio. Arthur and Gaylene spent over 60 years together with friends and family both in Dayton, and Sarasota,

Florida. Arthur was a lover of jazz music and an accomplished saxophone player, and avid lover of Indy car and Formula One racing and had a deep love for all animals (especially his

beloved Boston Terriers). He is preceded in death by parents Arthur and Hazel Hoffman. He is survived by his beloved wife Gaylene (Coleman) Hoffman of Dayton Ohio, son and daughter-in-law Kenneth and Lisa (Booth) Hoffman of

Oakwood, Ohio, grandchildren Katie Hoffman of Chicago,

Illinois, Madelaine Hoffman of Atlanta, Georgia, Michael

Hoffman and Julianna Hoffman of Oakwood, Ohio; two

sisters Catherine North of London, England and Joan (Chris) Green of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, and brother John (Phyllis) of Nokomis, Florida, as well as extended family in Dayton,

Cincinnati, and Columbus, Ohio. Memorial services will be

announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Humane Society of Greater Dayton or to

The Tenth Life (no kill cat shelter) in his honor.
