MORRISEY, Rose Marie

Rose Marie Morrisey (nee Quaing), 96, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 19, at 10 Wilmington under the care of Hospice of Dayton. She was born on February 16, 1928, in Bellvue, KY. Rose was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Edward. Rose and Ed were married on Thanksgiving Day November 23, 1950, and enjoyed 66 years together. She attended high school at Villa Madonna Academy in Covington, KY. She graduated from Good Samaritan School of nursing in 1948. Rose was employed for 22 years at St. Elizabeth Hospital as a float nurse, then was the school nurse at St. Helen's Grade School for 13 years. Rose was a devoted Catholic and a member of St. Helen's parish since 1967. She loved Cincinnati Reds, UD basketball, birds, vacationing on Sanibel Island, and spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bud Quaing. She is survived by her 6 children; Patrick, Mary Gaddis (Tony), Eileen Graves (Greg), Matthew (Barb), Carol Bublitz (Jim) and Tom (Beth), 12 Grandchildren; Robin, Jenny, Victoria, Laura, Emily, Molly, Nathan, Carla, Amy, Sarah, Zachary, and Ashley, Great-Grandchildren; Luke, Leo, Rylan, Kian, Makenna, Allison, Makenzie, Maranda, Genevieve Rose, Lily, Joey, Carmen, Sydney, Lucy, Colin, and Lillian. Her nurturing and loving nature will be missed by all who knew her. The family will receive friends at Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel on Monday, January 27, 2025, from 4:00-7:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, 11:00 am at St. Helen's Catholic Church. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Helen's Catholic Church, Carroll High School, or Hospice of Dayton. A special thanks to 4th floor staff at 10 Wilmington, especially Denise and Dana at Hospice.
