NICHOLS, Lanita Ann

86, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on November 16 in Springfield at the Masonic Home. Lanita was born on

December 28, 1934, in St. Paris, Ohio, the daughter of Kenneth and Neva (Quigg) Miley. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Donald E. Nichols, Sr.; four sons, Donald (Lovena) Nichols, Jr., Kenneth (Beth) Nichols, Jeff (Gigi) Nichols and David

Nichols; grandchildren, Deric (Lauryn) Nichols, Jordan Nichols, Kyle (Lacy) Nichols, Victoria (Derrick) Humphrey, Karly Hatcher, Haiden Nichols and Liam Nichols, Lauren (Jim) Cullen, Maddie (Rob) McGowan; siblings, Gwen Dudley, Velma Wertz, Kay Romine and Laurence (Elizabeth) Miley. She had nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Joan. Lanita was a longtime faithful member of Hillside Avenue Church of God where she was a Sunday School Teacher, Chair of the Women Church of God group and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She worked alongside her husband Dr. Donald

Nichols as a dental assistant for many years and was also

employed by Drs. Dan and Catherine Lynch. A memorial

service will be held on Saturday, November 20 at the Hillside

Avenue Church of God. Visitation will be held at 11:30 a.m. with service starting at 12:00 p.m. Inurnment will be held in Ferncliff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Hillside Avenue Church of God, Springfield, Ohio. Arrangements by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
