Riggin, Beverley, 76 of Troy, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. She was born on August 10, 1948 in Springfield, Ohio to Clarence and Jean (Barclay) Riley. She was a 1966 graduate of Shawnee High School. Bev was married to her high school sweetheart, Pat Thayer until his death in 1988. In 2000 she moved to Troy, Ohio with her second husband, Jerry Riggin, where they spent the last 23 years together until his death in 2023. She worked at Troy High School as a cafeteria worker for many years and was affectionately known as the "lunch lady". Bev loved working on puzzles, collecting lighthouses and traveling. She was a loving mother, grandmother, "mamaw", sister and devoted wife. She had an outgoing personality and love for life. She is survived by her children, Tony (Cindy) Thayer, Cindy (Dusty) Artz, Jason (Amy) Thayer and Greg (Laura) Riggin; brother, Jack (Virginia) Riley; grandchildren, Taylor, Hayden, Riley, Kylee (Dakota), Jonathan (Grace), Benjamin, Braylon and Scarlett; great grandchildren, Leland, Warren and Hazel and many nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Dave Augustus officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Vale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Miami County.
