Betty Crotinger Roegner age 100. Graduate of Piqua High School. Married to Donald L. Roegner in 1942. Lived in California while Don stationed in Army. Built their first home in Bethel Township, OH, eventually moving to New Carlisle.
Passed away on December 27 at her son's home under hospice care Shelbyville, IN where she reigned as Betty Sr. with respect and dignity.
She is survived by four sons Don Jr. (Marlys) Kokomo IN, Richard Lake View, OH, Doug (Betty Jr.) Shelbyville, IN, Bruce (Brenda) Troy, OH 2 daughters Sheryl Glover (Dennis) Troy, Oh and Judy Gambill (Bill) Huber Heights, OH
Preceded in death by parents, husband Donald after 36 years of marriage (due to small plane accident in Biloxi, MS in 1978), her friend Charles Edwards in 1997, 2 brothers Harold and Dave, and sisters Dorothy and Delores. Survived by sisters Florence and Mary. Eleven grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Don and Betty were snowbirds in Brownsville TX for several years and then on to Harlingen TX near her sister Delores and husband JD. Betty enjoyed playing cards, was known as Bingo Betty at Huber Heights Senior Center, gardening, painting, square dancing, and listening to bluegrass. Watched Lawrence Welk religiously every Saturday. Traveled to Germany, Greece, Korea and China.
Burial at later date in Miami Memorial Park in Covington, OH alongside husband Don, friend Charles, and son-in-law Dennis Glover. No service, In memory please gather with family and make great memories.
