SCHROEDER, Ron
12/13/53-12/23/2020
Ron Schroeder was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was taken from us too soon but his mark on the world and the Dayton community will
forever remain. Ron started his own business, Eastpoint Studio, and provided advertising and marketing for many local
businesses, including the
Dayton Dragons. He worked hard for his business and employees and also volunteered his talents in the community. He served on the board of the Fairborn Parks and Rec Department, read in local elementary schools and worked on United Way's marketing campaign. Ron donated countless pints of blood and platelets to the Red Cross, helping many local
community members. He was famous among family and friends for his musical talents. He played his guitar in the church choir at Mary Help of Christians Church and also started a band, Key West. Ron took a lot of joy in sharing his
talents and entertaining others. He traveled to many nursing homes in the Dayton area and entertained the residents with classic oldies, silly jokes and his infectious laugh. He enjoyed doing special things for others, always brightening their day with his thoughtfulness and kindness. Ron loved adventure and new challenges, including sky-diving, scuba-diving and
piloting his own Cessna 182. But most of all Ron loved to be around people. He loved to laugh, tell stories and befriend strangers. Ron lived in the Dayton area his entire life until
relocating to Osprey, FL, in 2019. A celebration of Ron's life will occur in the future. Stories and memories can be shared online at Your Traditions Funeral Home in Sarasota. Donations in Ron's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Tidewell Hospice.
