SCHULER, Mary Louise

Age 76 of Hamilton, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020, at Jewish Hospital. Mary Lou was born in Hamilton on September 16, 1944, the daughter of the late Lewis John and Marie W. (Vinson) Trauthwein. Mary Lou was a member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church. During the 1970's and 1980's, Mary Lou helped

manage Flub's Dariette in

Hamilton; she also worked in retail for several years before becoming a self-employed

custom drapery designer. Mary Lou had an impeccable sense of style and decor and was an avid shopper and bargain hunter. But mostly, she just enjoyed laughing and having fun with her family, friends, and grandchildren (who were her pride and joy). She is survived by her best friend and husband of 56 years, Michael Schuler; two children, Mark (Krista) Schuler and Krista (Chris) Childs; seven grandchildren, Andrea, Mitchell, and Katie Schuler and Nick, Jake, Will, and Adam Childs;

siblings, Richard (Claire) Trauthwein, Jim (Vickie) Trauthwein, and Judy (Kenneth) Russell; and sister-in-law, Anne Cornet. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dan (Betty) Trauthwein. Private Services will be held at St. Stephens

Mausoleum. The family is planning to hold a celebration of life at a future date when larger gatherings are safer for the community. Condolences may be left for the family at
