SEGER, Carylon Marie

CARYLON M. SEGER, age 85, of Bellbrook, passed away on January 21, 2025. She was born in New Albany, Indiana, on November 17, 1939, the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Ems) Jolissaint. Carylon was a 1957 graduate of Providence High School in New Albany, Indiana. She worked as a cosmetologist and artist. In her free time, Carylon enjoyed playing cards and visiting family and friends. She loved being an Air Force wife. Without a doubt, she never met a stranger and loved dressing in matching outfits with her twin sister, Marylon any chance she could! Above all, family was most important to Carylon, and she was a proud mom to her four daughters, grandma, great-grandma, aunt, sister, daughter and friend. Throughout her life, Carylon enjoyed traveling with her late husband, Dan all over the world. She saw the beauty in nature and enjoyed birding. Carylon looked forward to annual family trips to Sanibel Island. She was a faithful member at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, previously attended St. Peter Church in Huber Heights. Carylon will be fondly remembered for her story telling, quick wit, wonderful sense of humor, and a genuine care for everyone around her. Carylon leaves behind her four daughters, Debbie (Jim) Donnelly, Dawn (Pat) Fitzgerald, Deanna (Patrick) Golem-Imlay and Dona Seger; grandchildren, Alexander, Brendan, Michael, Marcus, Christopher, Ashley, Kyle, Daniel, Megan, Zach and Emma; great-grandchildren, Danny, Scarlett, Adalynn, Ava, Nova, Violet, Jasper and Sonder; twin sister, Marylon Ehlers; sister, Theresa Leavy, along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, Carylon was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Daniel R. Seger; sisters, Dolores Schulte, Ann Jolissaint and Frances Jolissaint. Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. in the WESTBROCK FUNERAL HOME- KETTERING, 5980 Bigger Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11:30 a.m. in the Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6425 Wilmington Pike. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton.
