Ernesta "Ernie" born in Canton, Ohio, lived most of her childhood in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a Sergeant in the Marine Corp during WWII as a cook, where she met her husband, the love of her life, who was an MP in the Marine Corp. They were married for 62 years, when he passed away in 2009. In her younger years she worked as a cashier at the Biltmore

Hotel in downtown Dayton and later rented a typewriter and taught herself to type for her job at the Painters Union. After retirement she worked at Smith's General Store in Arcanum, Ohio, where they lived before moving to Englewood. She was a hard worker with many talents. She was an excellent seamstress, crocheter, gardener, cook and baker.

Ernie loved to listen to Andrea Bocelli sing and was a big fan of the Cincinnati Reds. She loved birds, but most of all she loved her family and friends unconditionally. She was an amazing woman always smiling, laughing, and loved by everyone who met her. She will be greatly missed by all till we meet again in heaven.
