She was the daughter of the late Walter and Ella (Fletcher) Worley. She graduated from Parker Co-op High School, Dayton, in 1945 and worked at The National Cash Register Company where she met her first husband, the late James Erskine Hart. She is survived by their children, Timothy Preston Hart, Bellaire, TX, and Christine Hart, Brewster, MA. Her youngest son, Scott Erskine Hart (pictured above), West Hollywood, California, predeceased her by one week. She leaves behind her sister-in-law Carol Hart Misenko, Kettering, her beloved "little sister" Joyce Sweitzer, Ocala, FL, and cherished nieces and nephews.

She married Earl C. (Bucky) Walters in 1976. They lived at St. Leonard's Retirement Community, Centerville for 13 years until his passing in 2021. Her stepson, Kim Walters, Beavercreek, also survives her.

Janice's strong faith sustained her throughout her life, and she devoted many years of service to her beloved Fairmont Presbyterian Church, Kettering, and to countless other charitable endeavors. She was proud to have been the past chapter president of P.E.O. Sisterhood an international organization focused on the advancement of women through education.

Her final act of generosity was to the Tufts Health Sciences Anatomical Gift Program. A memorial will be held at a future date at Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum in Dayton.

She'll be remembered for her giving nature, faith, wisdom, humor, leadership, grace, steadfastness, devotion to her family and her unwavering and often expressed gratitude for all the blessings life bestowed on her.

She was the consummate role model to her children who will be forever grateful for the privilege of having been loved by her.
