ZIEPFEL, Agnes Dorothy

Age 102, a resident of Hanover Township, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Woodland Country Manor. She was born on October 29, 1919, the daughter of William and Josephine (Pater) Rigling. While growing up, she lived with her family on the

Shadowy Hills farm in Oxford. Agnes worked at Wright

Aeronautical during WW II. She married Edward A. Ziepfel during WW II on February 10, 1945, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Hamilton. They were together for 54 years prior to his passing in 1999. She and her husband ran a dairy farm operation in Hanover Township for many years. While caring for her family, she was involved in the many activities at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, was a member of Farm Bureau Council, belonged to several card clubs, and later in life, travel clubs with her husband. She

especially loved playing cards with her family and friends.

After retiring from dairy farming, she worked nearly 15 years at Ohio Casualty. Her greatest joy was raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a great cook and enjoyed making large family meals. Her biggest legacy is keeping all of her family in her daily faithful prayers. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Mary, Catherine, Roselyn, Bernard, Cecilia, Ralph, Jovita, William, Clotilda,

Richard and grandson, Jason Ziepfel. She is survived by her children, Tom (Janet) Ziepfel, Mary Jo (Michael) Mignery and Clare (William) Brady. Also by her grandchildren, Jonathan and Joseph Ziephel, Ben (Jill) Mignery, Sarah (Jon) Daddabbo, Mark (Alison) Mignery, Anna (Neal) Ressler, Katherine

(Jordan) Day, William (Holly) Brady, Chris (Jessica) Brady,

Matthew (Kelly) Brady and Keven (Jessica) Brady and 27 great-grandchildren. A Funeral Mass was held at Queen of

Peace Catholic Church with immediate family only due to COVID concerns. Entombment was held at St. St. Stephen's Cemetery. The Colligan Funeral Home served the family.
