Whether you're completely new to cooking or just looking to be inspired, there's a cooking class for you! Get those knives sharpened and your skills ready, these cooking classes will help you to make sure your upcoming holiday party is a success.

The Little City Cooking School

Learn how to cook in an intimate setting at The Little City Cooking School. Its newly renovated kitchen studio is actually located in a 1926 Oakwood home. The classes are kept to 6 students or less, so you can be sure you get the individualized attention you need.

Feel free to attend with a friend, or even make it a group outing and turn the class into your own private event at no additional cost. You will cook a single serving for a three to four course meal.  Bring an empty stomach so you can taste the fruits (vegetables, and proteins) or your labor!

Location: 70 Wisteria Dr., Dayton.
Hours: Most classes begin at 6:30 p.m.
Cost: $65 per person.

DLM's Culinary Center offers a wide variety of classes, taught by many different and some notable instructors, including Chef Liz Valenti of Wheatpenny and Chef Lee Anne House of Bad Dog Nice Taco.

Learn how to make dishes for your upcoming holiday party from hors d'oeuvres, appetizers, entrees and even dessert. Whether it be a casual or fancy affair, these recipes are sure to impress!

Healthy Cooking Classes with Chef Erin

You may have heard of the organization Diabetes Dayton, but did you know that it offers a monthly healthy cooking class? Each class takes place on the fourth Saturday of every month, unless otherwise noted, and features a different theme.

These classes are open to anyone looking to cook (and eat) a delicious and healthy meal, prepared with the freshest whole ingredients. This month's class takes place on Saturday, Dec. 5 and focuses on healthy holiday cooking.

Location: 2555 South Dixie Dr., Dayton.
Hours: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Cost: $25 with pre-registration

The Cooking School at Jungle Jim's International Market

Jungle Jim's is a pretty impressive place to get groceries to begin with, so you best believe that its cooking school is state-of-the-art.  Classes can accommodate up to 40 people, and include both demonstrations and hands-on activities during the day, evening and on weekends.

You will learn not only how to prepare great meals, but will also learn to master techniques to make cooking as fun as it is efficient.  Classes are offered for any experience level, from easy to advanced.
