>> New CoreLife Eatery raised over $7K at pay-what-you-choose ‘sneak peek’
We tried greens bowls, grain bowls and broth bowls for lunch and here’s what we thought.
Mediterranean Green Bowl
🥗 Taste-tester Ashley Bethard had this to say:
This bowl is SO good, and $8 is a great price for really healthy food ... and a LOT of it. There were generous amounts of cucumbers, tomatoes and red onions, which really balanced out the kale.
The falafel, hummus, cucumber-basil dressing and feta cheese were all really delicious on their own, but it made the perfect combination of flavors together. Oh, and did I mention the dressing? Because I would happily put it on everything.

Tuna Poke Grain Bowl
🍛 Taste-tester Mark Fisher had this to say:
The Tuna Poke Grain Bowl ($10) was a winner. Small square-cut chunks of uncooked, marinated Ahi tuna is served in a colorful bowl of cucumber, quinoa, carrots, scallions, avocado, kale, cabbage, sliced toasted almonds, sesame seeds and edamame. Follow CoreLife's suggestion and order the Miso sesame-ginger dressing -- it has a nice ginger bite that brings the flavors together.

Sriracha Ginger Tofu & Acient Grains Bowl
🍛 Taste-tester Sierra Smith had this to say:
It was tangy and I feel like it had a hint of lime in it which was refreshing and it wasn't too spicy either!
Usually with these things my mouth catches on fire and I want to die -- for example, spicy chicken from Bibibop for the first time -- but this was a good, mild spicy.
And I liked the texture combo of soft tofu with crunchy greens and carrots, plus it was just pretty with all the colors.
AND I FEEL HEALTHY AF. CLEAN MAYNE.

Spicy Ginger Steak & Rice Noodle Broth Bowl
🍲 Taste-tester Allegra Czerwinski had this to say:
The broth bowl ($8.95) was a perfect choice for a chilly day. It had a surprising amount of texture, thanks to the shredded kale and broccoli, and the broth itself was extremely flavorful. The sriracha gave it a little kick and the notes of ginger shined through, making the dish a little brighter.
