The Dayton Flyers women’s basketball team received its second commitment from a member of the class of 2024 on Sunday.

Molly O’Riordan, a 6-foot-2 center from Barrington High School in Barrington, Ill, announced her commitment to Dayton on Twitter and Instagram.

“I’m super excited to announce that I have verbally committed to play basketball at the University of Dayton!!! Huge thank you to my family, coaches, teammates, and everyone who has supported me throughout this process!! Go Flyers!!!”

O’Riordan received an offer from Tamika Williams-Jeter and her staff on May 22, 2022. She visited UD in June. She also had offers from Kent State, Drake and Milwaukee, among others.

O’Riordan made the Class 4A all-state second team as a junior. She reached the 1,000-point milestone last season.

Dayton’s other 2024 commitment came from Brook Simpson, a 5-foot-10 junior guard from Belding High School in Michigan. She announced her decision in October.
