“At the end of the day, when all the dust settles, I never want to stand in the way of a kid that knows his best option is to do something else,” Grant said Thursday. “They established a great relationship with Archie (Miller) and his staff. That’s how it works. But as of right now, they’re all going to give me an opportunity to talk to them and reconnect in terms of Dayton and this program and my vision. Hopefully, we can keep them all in the fold.”

Dayton’s four signed recruits are: guard McKinley Wright, of Champlin Park, Minn.; guard Jordan Davis, of Irmo, S.C.; forward Nahziah Carter, of Rochester, N.Y.; and center Jordan Pierce, of Scotch Plains, N.J.
Davis confirmed Wednesday he was supposed to meet with Grant soon. Lonnie Moore, Carter’s mom, said her son is still weighing his options but would meet with Grant “really soon.”
Wright told GopherHole.com on Sunday, "I don't really have nothing going on. Archie Miller left Dayton and went to Indiana. Since then, I haven't really thought about anything. I am just taking this slow. Letting everything go by. Talked to Coach (Anthony) Grant at Dayton. He seems like a good guy. There is nothing really going on right now."
Dayton has one other 2017 recruit, Matej Svoboda, of the Czech Republic. He verbally committed but hasn’t signed. Grant can’t comment on unsigned recruits, and Svoboda didn’t respond to a question about his status on Wednesday.
If all five recruits stick with Dayton, UD will have all 13 scholarships filled. Grant said none of the eight returning scholarship players have said anything to him about transferring.
