The Cincinnati Bengals have placed starting right tackle on Jake Fisher on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list and signed tackle Eric Winston.

Winston tweeted Wednesday morning, “Happy to be back in Cincy! #WhoDey”

An 11-year veteran and the NFL Players Association president, Winston was with the Bengals for the final four games in 2014 through this year’s preseason, appearing in 33 games with six starts.

The Winston addition comes three days after Fisher was unable to finish Sunday's 23-7 loss at Jacksonville due to illness and was taken to the hospital before flying home with the team.

Head coach Marvin Lewis did not specify what type of ailment Fisher was dealing with but said it’s something that has been ongoing.

“He’s (dealt with this) as we’ve been going through the season,” Lewis said. “It’s something that the doctors are monitoring very closely. (Sunday) they thought they needed to pull him from the game and run some tests, so they took him to the hospital to run tests.

“It’s not as serious as I would think it is,” Lewis added. “Yet, it took him out of the game.”
