The Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday claimed wide receiver Pharoh Cooper (Arizona Cardinals) and running back Samaje Perine (Washington Redskins) on waivers.

A fourth-year player, Cooper primarily was used as a kicker returner for two-plus seasons with the Los Angeles Rams. He finished 2018 with the Cardinals. He has 25 catches for 190 yards in his career.

Perine, a third-year player out of the University of Oklahoma, was a fourth-round pick of the Redskins in 2017. He rushed for 635 yards and a TD and caught 25 passes for 187 yards and a score.

Both Cooper and Perine were waived Saturday.

To make room for Cooper and Perine, the Bengals waived wide receiver Josh Malone and linebacker Hardy Nickerson, Jr. Both Malone and Nickerson are eligible for the team’s practice squad.
