The Cincinnati Bengals could have trouble fielding a full roster of 46 Sunday against Chicago after nine players sat out Wednesday’s practice with injuries, six of whom were hurt in Monday’s 23-20 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Linebacker Vontaze Burfict (concussion), running back Joe Mixon (concussion) and cornerback Adam Jones (groin) left the Steelers game and did not return, while cornerbacks Dre Kirkpatrick (concussion) and Darqueze Dennard (knee) and safety Brandon Wilson (ankle) were able to finish the game.

Also sitting out were safety Shawn Williams (hamstring), linebacker Nick Vigil (ankle) and wide receiver John Ross (shoulder).

Williams, who was doing rehab work on the side, has missed the last two games and three of the last four, while Monday marked the first game Vigil had missed.

Ross was not on the injury report last week and was inactive as a healthy scratch Monday, so it’s unclear when he suffered the shoulder injury.

Linebacker Vinny Rey was listed as a limited participant after missing the last two games with a hamstring injury.
