Brea attends Monsignor Scanlan High School in Bronx, N.Y. He is in the 2020 recruiting class but has an option to move to the 2021 class.
Brea played for the Dominican Republic U-17 national team in the summer. Massachusetts and Manhattan are among the other schools recruiting him.
Dayton has one commitment from the 2020 class. Lukas Frazier, a 6-foot-4 guard from Lake Catholic High School in Mentor, announced his verbal commitment in June.

Dayton has two scholarships open in 2019 and two opening in 2020, one of which Frazier will fill.
The 2021 class will be an important one for Dayton. If the roster doesn’t change next season, the Flyers will lose five seniors from the 2020-21 team: Jalen Crutcher, Jhery Matos, Ibi Watson, Rodney Chatman and Jordy Tshimanga.
