Cincinnati Reds select outfielder in Rule 5 Draft

The Cincinnati Reds on Thursday selected outfielder Mark Payton from the Oakland A’s in the Rule 5 Draft.

Payton, 28, hit .334 with 30 home runs and 97 RBIs for Las Vegas, the A’s Triple-A affiliate.
