About Wright State: The Raiders shot a combined 38 of 119 from the field (31.9 percent) and 17 of 52 on 3-pointers (32.7) in road losses to Georgia State and Penn State last week. … They're second among 351 Division I teams in free throws made (190) and sixth in attempts (248). … Alstork is 13th in the nation in total points (194) and 29th in average. … The Raiders were league-mates with Loyola from 1995-2013, first in the Midwestern Collegiate Conference and then in the Horizon.
About Loyola: Jackson is the team's top scorer despite coming off the bench for eight of the first nine games. He scored 24 points on 11-of-12 shooting in a 65-59 win Saturday over San Diego State, which is the Mountain West Conference favorite. Forward Donte Ingram, averaging 9.6, had been starting but missed the last game with a knee injury. … The Ramblers also have beaten Washington State this season, and their only losses were to Saint Joseph's in the Paradise Jam and at North Carolina State. … They've won 18 of their last 19 non-conference home games, including all five this season.
Coach's take: "They might be the best team we've played," Nagy said. "When you look at their stats — the rebounding (plus-3.4 edge), the shooting percentage (50.8 percent), their defense (61.9 points allowed per game), their personnel, just how tough their kids are — it's really not a good matchup for us."
Coming up: The Raiders are off this weekend because of final exams next week. They play one game in an 11-day span, Tuesday at home against Division II Urbana University.
