Wampler averaged 9.6 points and 2.5 rebounds in 31 games (16 starts) for the Bulldogs last season. The Eau Claire, Wisconsin native averaged 22.2 minutes and had three 20-point plus games in December, including a career-high 27 against Mississippi Valley State and 23 vs. Iowa State.
“Bill will be a great addition to our team,” Nagy said. “He is another big guard who can play multiple positions. He enters our program with a good amount of college basketball experience. With another year of development, we think Bill will have a major impact on our program, not only as a player but as a person.”
At Regis High School, Wampler was a four-time, all-conference selection and the No. 6 ranked player in Wisconsin. He averaged 26 points and seven rebounds as a senior and earned all-state and conference player of the year honors.
The Raiders last week signed 6-5 guard Jaylon Hall from Doss High School in Louisville, Ky. Previously, they inked guard Tyler Mitchell from Kings High School while guard Cole Gentry transferred to Wright State from South Dakota State in December.
